If you have any questions for Big Brown Box about house moving, flat moving, office moving or anything else connected with boxes moving or packing please feel free to contact us. Below, we have listed a few frequently asked questions.
Why should I buy from Big Brown Box ?
Because we put customer service as our number one priority. Approximately 40% of our business comes from our previous customers recommendations to their friends and relatives. We realise that if we make you happy, the chances are you will probably mention our name to your friends and family when they move.
How long will my moving boxes take to arrive ?
If we receive your order before 4.00pm pm during weekdays we guarantee to despatch your order on the same day. If we receive your order after 4.00pm or at weekends, we despatch during the next business day. So for example, if we receive your order for moving boxes on Monday, you should receive them on Tuesday.
Do you deliver on Saturday ?
Saturday delivery is offered as an optional service, for an additional charge of £15.00. Saturday deliveries can take place between 9am and 5.30pm.
How strong are the boxes you sell ?
All the boxes we sell are what the packaging industry calls double wall. This type of cardboard has two wavy layers of card and three straight layers of card. This makes the boxes very strong and ideal for moving home. Typically once packed and taped shut, they should easily be able to stack up to 6 boxes high. They are also glued for added strength.
Are your packing boxes and kits environmentally friendly ?
Our boxes are very environmentally friendly, the cardboard is 100% recycleable, and the wood pulp used in their manufacture comes from carefully managed sustainable softwood forests. For every tree that is felled, 3 seedlings are planted. Great care is taken to protect and maintain the natural habitat of the local wildlife.
I have seen some cheap boxes advertised elsewhere are they any good ?
In short...probably not. They will be cheap single thickness cardboard which will collapse when you lift them or stack them on top of each other. They may even be second hand, you won't know what they were previously used for and they may be bug infested. Moving is stressful enough without damaging your posessions in flimsy boxes, its just not worth the risk.
