How to Assemble Archive Boxes from Big Brown Box

Archive boxes from Big Brown Box have a simple one piece design including an integral lid - there is no need for packing tape when assembling the boxes.

Please see our handy step by guide below showing how to assemble the archive boxes quickly and easily.

Step 1.

  • Unfold the archive box on a flat, solid surface (note: the box will have no base at present)
  • Grip the handle holes on the inner layer of corrugate

Step 2.

  • Apply pressure and push down the inner layer of corrugate so the bottom of the sides fold in to form a base

Step 3.

Push down until the inner layer of corrugate is roughly level on all four sides with the outer layer

Step 4.

Apply pressure to the base of the archive box, ensuring it is completely pushed down and now sits approx. 1 cm below the outer layer

Step 5.

Hold up the lid and fold in the two sides along the crease. Take the two side flaps and fold into the perforation slits

Step 6.

Hold the flaps over the perforations slits and fold over the top flap over the side flaps, locking them in place

Step 7.

Fold the lid down to ensure the lid closes and the box is assembled correctly

Step 8.

Hold the archive at either side where there is a perforated ‘C’ shape. Push in the perforated corrugate to form handles
